Project 365 (week 12)

It has been a busy week as we have visited with friends, celebrated Randall's Birthday, packed our bags for our upcoming trip and continued with work/school schedule as normal... I'm worn out just thinking about all the things we packed into our week...

We are excited to bored a plane in less then 48 hours from now and head home for the Holidays! Randall's Sister had her first baby this past week and we are so excited to meet Baby Reese (Yes, definitely pictures to come... with the 3 cousins!)

I'm starting to really enjoy shooting with my manual setting and have fallen "in love" with the focus on the front/up-close object or person with a blurry background! Hope to practice more and get better! As always, enjoy the pics!

Day 78: Color from around the world

Day 79: Chicago Mix... the perfect combo of sweet and salty

Day 80: Hard working on Daddy's birthday sign

Day 81: Gourmet at its Core

 Day 82: School Time!

Day 83: Dreaming of a White Christmas

Day 84: My Flower Child

I just realized that many of this week's pics were of Morgan... Why? Because she loves the camera and will pose or stand still enough to capture the moment! Micah on the other hand is So busy these days and will hardly stay still! Love. My. Kids.

Next week, we'll be 1/2 way around the world... Stay tuned for pics from our travels, family and good food!!! Thanks for stopping by! Have a Blessed Week!

Project 365 (week 11)

For all of you Photographers out there... you would appreciate this week's pictures as I attempted to play around with my manual setting. YEP! The one setting I've kindof been avoiding because it is SO  much easier using the automatic settings!!! But some sweet, patient friends have bestowed their wisdom on me and helped me to understand my manual settings better (remember, I'm still a beginner!)

This week we were able to spend time with friends and play with their kiddos! And in the middle of visits, Morgan had her 3rd Ballet Recital! We are SO proud of her and all of the hard work she puts into her dancing! Enjoy!!!

Day 71: The foundation of our family
(playing with my manual settings)

Day 72: Caught her in action! Sweet Lydia enjoying her food!

Day 73: Ballerina Bun (thanks Britt); such an Angelic Pic!

Day 74: Our Ballerina in action

Day 75: So focused and right in sync with the others!

Day 76: I LOVE a little boy in Overalls! Esp this little cowboy!

Day 77: Matching P.J.'s.. Best Friends!

Thanks for staying up with this project! It's fun learning new things/settings on my camera and then seeing the product(s) of my time and work!

Please leave your thoughts and comments as it really blesses me to hear from you!
Until next week...

Project 365 (week 10)

Food, food and more food! Can you guess the theme from last week?
We were so blessed to have spent Thanksgiving with 3 other families in a neighboring country. Besides eating, we enjoyed playing at the beach and great fellowship! We even had our Thanksgiving Meal on the Roof of our friends' house, overlooking the beach. Such a wonderful reminder of God's creation and all the ways He has blessed our family over this past year.

On a side note, we are on the count down until we board the plane and head to Texas to spend Christmas with our loved ones! In just a little over 2 weeks we will be on TX soil and are so excited to meet our new baby girl niece and love on our family!

Day 64: Kids need desert too for Turkey Day! Not big pie eaters so we fell back to a family favorite!

Day 65: Appetizers before the Big Meal

Day 66: Dinner on the roof? YES, Please!

Day 67: Sweet Friends

Day 68: Scenic drive home

Day 69: Just a Mini-Me version of Randall

Day 70: Back on track after holiday eating

Here are a few extras just to give you a peek into our world:
Extra #1: Morgan a.k.a. A 6 y/o Girl learning to shower herself = lots of shampoo buying! I think a quarter size of shampoo equals a palmful of shampoo in her mind!

Extra #2: Happy National Day! The locals and their crazy car decorating!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Love, Randall, Liz, Morgan & Micah

Project 365 (week 9)

What a whirl-wind of a week!! Yes, I traveled to a land, far, far away this past week but was so tied up in meetings that I wasn't able to explore with my camera like I had hoped for. But I did get to expereince much cooler weather and loved wearing my boots, scarfs and cardigans!!!

I was so excited to be reunited with Randall and the kids after my 4 day trip. We even broke tradition and decorated for Christmas!! Yep! Before Thanksgiving!! But since we'll be traveling for Christmas, we thought we'd enjoy our decor as long as possible! It was such a fun night as the kids were really into it; Christmas Music was playing, Cookies in the oven, we watched Elf and enjoyed Popcorn for dinner! Love those kindof family nights!

Day 57: Mexican Food in the Desert... and it tasted like home!

Day 58: Grey Skies! We have had cooler weather and dark clouds! Feels like Fall!

Day 59: Its beginning to look alot like Christmas...

Day 60: Everywhere you go...

Day 61: Love our new Rustic Star

Day 62: Trial batch of homemade rolls for Turkey Day

Day 63: Beauty in its Essence

Thank you for those who keep up and continue to check in with this Project 365. Excited for the holidays and all the memories I hope to capture!

Please leave comments, tips and helps as I appreciate your feedback!

Project 365 (week 8)

Can I just say that I am Loving this cooler weather! Its almost as if my whole demeanor has changed over the last week since the weather has cooled off and we can spend time outside without sweating to death and getting dehydrated! (Ok, being a little dramatic on the last part) But as you will see from the pics this week, we have been outside A LOT!!! Praising Our Creator for His blessings this week!

Day 50: Love this Boy So Much!

Day 51: A bucket of peanuts... Any guesses on where we treated ourselves this week? (remember, we are from Texas.. hint! hint!)

Day 52: Sweet Girl! Love those eyes!

Day 53: Love this Girl So Much! Fashion is her Middle Name!

Day 54: Healthy Apple Crisp Desert (baked cinnamon apples, light whipping cream spray, granola sprinkled on top)... So Tasty!

Day 55: Tallest Building in the World... need I say more?

Day 56: Like Father Like Son
This picture melts my heart. I love that Micah is so excited about playing catch with Randall! Randall is such a wonderful Daddy!

Bonus #1: All ages and stages... sweet friends

Bonus #2-3: I couldn't decide which pictures of Micah to use for the project this week. I played around with my sport mode on the camera and got some cool shots! Still learning, of course! By the way, no one else may have noticed, but Micah is wearing his lego shirt and orange shorts in all of his pictures. Different days (park and baseball)... but this boy loves that shirt!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm traveling next week so anxious to take pictures from a land, far, far away! Please leave comments, tips and helps... always welcomed and appreciated!

Project 365 (week 7)

This week we went to Global Village, which is a multi-cultural event where over 40 countries are represented through shopping pavilions, entertainment and food. About half of the pictures I focused this week's project are from Global Village. And of course, more pics of the kiddos! Enjoy a peek at our last 7 days!

Day 43:  Looking at this face is seriously like looking at a miniature Randall!

Day 44: Miss Sassy and she Knows it!

Day 45: A sky full of color

Day 46: Spices, Olives and Dates, Oh My!

Day 47: All Boy! (Micah's 1st sling shot)... tried to focus on the sling shot.. still working on how to take pics at this angle! :)

Day 48: THE Swarma Randall has waited for for the last 3 years!

Day 49: All walks of life... running together

This picture has extra special meaning to me as I had signed up for this 10K race, paid and started training for it 2 months ago. And then I got hit with being sick and now this broken rib. I honestly put myself through a lot of guilt and pressure for not being able to run in the race and was really frustrated about something I had NO control over. But I decided to attend the race and support a friend who had signed up with me to run in it and cheer her on. It was very healing for me to be there and God has taught me a lot about myself over the last 6 weeks of being sick/injured. All praise to Him!

BONUS: Pink, Pink and more Pink! I Love cute, little girls in P.J.s!

Thankfully the weather is starting to cool off here and I'm really hoping to play around with the camera and take some more outside/nature shots this next week. Thank you for keeping up with my project and please share your comments, ideas and critics for me to learn from.
Until the next 7 days...
