Happy Easter!
Today has been quite eventful as we celebrate Easter (a.k.a. Resurrection Day) here in the Middle East. Its interesting because one would never know it were Easter by going to the nearby grocery store because they do not celebrate this very important date in the cultural here. There is no Easter candy, baskets or chocolate bunnies in the stores (you know, all the "important things"). But thankfully, we have a community of Believers in our city to celebrate the real meaning of Easter with. Here is a look at how we spent our Easter Sunday...

We started out by going to a sunrise service in the desert, which started at 5:40 a.m.

As you can see, it was a little chilly in the desert before the sunrise, hince the blankets the kids were bundled up in!

Randall was asked to lead worship through music at the sunrise service and it was an amazing time of worship!

But none the less, just like any other service..Micah was able to turn the area into a "running" and play area! At least there were smiles that early in the morning!

And we hit wall #1! The kids did awesome and hung in there until about 7:20am and then the cranky behaviors came out!!! But we came home and enjoyed a yummy breakfast together!
Liz made cinnamon rolls from scratch (first time to ever work with dried yeast and they turned out great!) After breakfast, the kids squeezed in a nap before heading to a friend's house for lunch. Here's Micah looking inside the eggs, hoping to find more candy after the first Easter egg hunt!!!

And then there's Morgan, playing with all the colored eggs... which by the way, we did color hard boiled eggs last night, just don't have the pictures on our computer yet.

Finally, all 4 of us awake, tired still as Randall and Liz still hadn't napped; this was wall #2 (for the kids and the parents!)

Today was a reminder of what our Heavenly Father did for us on the cross and how deep the Father's love is for us.. all of us.
