Superman in a Swimsuit

For anyone who has ever been with a 2 y/o who is afraid of water (except the bathtub) knows it can be scary when you practically force them to play in a big pool. And for anyone who has ever been around our 2 y/o when near a big pool or an ocean, knows that he is perfectly happy anywhere but in the water.

This past weekend we spent a little vacation in the Big City and enjoyed a lot of time of relaxation, yummy American food and lots of water time (at the beach and hotel pool). We eased Micah slowly into the pool and within 20 mins of conquering fears, he was jumping in on his own and couldn't get enough! Here are some pics we captured...
If it weren't for these arm floaties... Micah 110% relied on them and thought he was invincible in the deep end..hence he went all over the pool...without us helping him.

Proof! These floaties held him up the entire time! Isn't the spikey hair cool? Daddy thought he needed to have cool swim hair!

Here he is at the deep end.. fearless I tell you!

We tried letting him play in a raft, but he was not a fan of anything but those arm floaties!

And after the swim Micah refused to take off his arm floaties, so we draped a towel over him to dry him off and this is the result we got = Superman in a Swimsuit!

Stay tuned to more pics of our 4 day trip... we accidently left our camera at our friend's house and these pics are off a differ camera. Will post part 2 of our vacation soon!

Be sure to tell Micah how proud you are of him conquering his fears!
