This weekend we were able to spend time with some of our friends at a local beach. What's interesting about the local beaches here is that the women stay dressed in their traditional clothing, sit and visit with others while the men and children play on the beach and in the water. This is just a small glimpse of what our surroundings were like:
We were sitting on the beach right where they boarded for boat rides. The kids loved playing on the beach with their friends... and as you can see, we were the only Westerners in sight!!!
Our friends then wanted to take us on a boat ride... and so we went... And it was windy, fast and bumpy!!! But so much fun!!!
Micah experienced excitement and fear all within the first few minutes of the boat ride. He was so excited to ride on a boat, as it was his first time.. yet when it started going faster and got bumpy, he wasn't so sure about it. But as he watched Morgan have fun, he decided to join in with her.
What a great way to spend a weekend!!!
