Transition is the Name of the Game

As many of you know, our family has been in transition off and on for the last 2 years since we left the states. Currently, we just moved countries and are living in a temporary place until we find a suitable home for us. Since our last update a week ago, much has gone on and we thought we would share our last 48 hrs of our time in country #1 up until our time in the airport, awaiting to travel to country #2...

About 1 week before our moving date (June 30), the A/C in our car went out and thankfully we had our friend's car to drive around while our car sat in the garage... for 6 days! The day before we moved and had to drive ourselves 2 hrs to the airport, Randall was finally able to get our car with running, cold A/C. Then about 6 hrs later, our car battery died and Randall made his 2nd trip to the garage that day to get a new one.

Somewhere in all of the trips to the car repair place, one of the A/Cs in our house went out. It is definitely reaching the mid 110's now in the summer and A/C is a must! So, we had our A/C repair man come and take the window unit out and then bring it back; working about 8 hrs later.

In addition to the broken A/Cs, Randall went to pay our last internet bill and the internet company refused to take our $ and it turned into a big miscommunication. After telling them that we were moving out of country on Thursday, they told Randall to come back and pay on Saturday... "Hello??? We are giving you $, what's the problem? Take it!!!" At least that is what we thought... 1 hr later and after clearing up the communication, Randall was able to get the bill payed.

Here are the kids on the morning of our traveling and Big Move! Empty room, except a bed!

Here we are pulling out of our driveway for the last time... with a new car battery and cold A/C!

Due to border issues, we drove a longer route through the mountains to get to the big city, where the airport is. Along the way, we saw 1 dead dog and 1 dead donkey (just to add to our adventure)...

And here we are at the airport... 4 trunks, 3 duffles, 3 large suitcases, 2 car seats, 5 carry-on bags and a double stroller... I'm sure we were a sight to see!!!

To continue our "excitement" we ate Mc Donald's in the airport for lunch... $25 later... wasn't expecting that.. Guess the airport Mc D's thinks they have the right to double the prices!!!

About 45 mins after eating, Micah was running around with Randall and threw up all over his shirt and filed a duty-free bag 1/2 full!

Then to top everything off, our plane arrived to the airport 45 mins late, which gave us an extra 45 mins of just sitting with 2 tired kids, during nap time, but without their naps! But fortunately, the kids enjoyed the bus ride from the airport to the plane!

Morgan and Micah thought it was fun that there were swings (really handles) to hang from on the bus... In the end, the flight went great, the kids were awesome and we and all of our things made it to country #2. Praise Father for His Humor and for His Grace!
